In an elegant and refined universe, Charly, our First Barman at Les Sources de Caudalie, has been selected to participate in the prestigious Italicus 2023 competition.
This worldwide competition, renowned for designating the "Italicus bar artist of the year", has this year as its theme art mixed with the Italian aperitivo.
To become the next bartender of 2023, participants must create an original aperitif cocktail inspired by any art form using at least 40ml of Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, an Italian bergamot liqueur. They should also include a sustainable ingredient or garnish.
Charly took the idea of culinary art to develop his cocktail recipe, called "L'amargarita".
The Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto competition encourages bartenders around the world to make their creations even more sustainable. The eight best recipes that qualify for the Swiss final in Ascona, where the candidates will be able to present their cocktails to a jury of professionals on 17 April, will have the chance to win a place in the world final in May 2023. Charly, thanks to his original recipe and creativity, is well on his way to becoming one of the finalists.
Les Sources de Caudalie are proud to have him on their team.
We wish him good luck!

The French Paradox
The French Paradox is a timeless space. The bar, conceived as a separate room, invites you to discover an intimate and hushed atmosphere where quality materials collide to create a brilliant and warm universe. The wooden and rope armchairs, the velvet benches and the vast oak bookcase saturate the space and make you feel the delicious vertigo of time through an eclectic collection of decorative objects. The three types of wood on the floor, combined in an art deco design, are reminiscent of the Villa Necchi in Milan.
In this graceful setting, mixology takes pride of place. Mixology virtuosos offer tasty cocktails, while an exclusive collection of old Armagnacs, Cognacs, Whiskies and other eaux de vie passerillées is also available. Oenophiles can enjoy a wide selection of wines from the prestigious Pessac-Leognan appellation, both white and red.
