On 7 December, fans of sweet treats can take part in a special pastry classIn this workshop, Pastry Chef Anthony Chenoz will guide participants in the making of their own Yule log. This workshop, running from 3pm to 5pm, is a rare opportunity to master the secrets of pastry-making (€80/person). The spirit of sharing continues with a cooking class on 21 decemberThe workshop will be led by the team of Michelin-starred chef Nicolas Masse, from 10am to 1pm. After learning seasonal techniques and recipes, participants will enjoy a table d'hôte lunch at La Grand'Vigne to taste their creations in a convivial setting (265€/pers.).
A not-to-be-missed event for the festive season, ROUGE is transformed once again to welcome Chef Nicolas Masse's favourite producers for a Christmas market. Nestled in the bucolic and inspiring setting of the Sources de Caudalie, ROUGE is a space dedicated to celebrating local flavours and quality craftsmanship. Both a convivial wine bar and a local grocery shop, it brings together the finest products from the region, carefully selected by the Sources de Caudalie Chef, for the pleasure of curious palates. The Christmas market will be held over three days, on 7, 14 and 21 December, and promises a warm atmosphere in which visitors can discover and taste exceptional artisanal products. It's the perfect opportunity to finalise your Christmas shopping and give authentic gourmet gifts.
Christmas markets near Bordeaux :
Christmas markets remain a must-see in December, offering visitors a glimpse of local crafts and gastronomy. In Bordeaux, the Place des Quinconces hosts its Christmas market from 29 November to 29 December, from 11am to 9pm. With its wooden chalets, enchanting lights and stalls brimming with handicrafts and gourmet specialities, this market is sure to create a warm and festive atmosphere. It's the perfect place to find unique gifts while savouring regional delicacies such as cannelés and Arcachon oysters.
A few kilometres away, Saint-Émilion is holding its own Christmas market on 14 and 15 December. In this medieval town, stalls of local produce and street entertainment evoke the traditions of yesteryear, offering an immersion in local culture. It's also an opportunity to sample the region's great vintages in an atmosphere of historic charm.
